Planning & Zoning Meeting
November 10, 2009
 
Chair Wicker opened the Planning meeting at 7:05 p.m.   He called for any changes or additions to the minutes.  With noted correction of chairmanship change, Supervisor Unterberger/Wicker made a motion to approve the minutes with corrections.  Motion carried. 
 
Old Business:  Supervisor Loewen stated Gravel Pit permits are listed in the ordinances and MOU. 
 
New Business:  Robert Walter, Attorney at Law for Gray, Platt & Mooney, came before the board for a Certificate of Compliance.  Walter was working on the Cooper property that is not in compliance for residential.  He presented a preliminary plat for Powder Ridge Homestead, a 4.39 acre property.  The county is requiring this plat because of the 1990 mortgage split when Bill Cooper sold the property to his son, Chuck Cooper.  Now the plat did not meet setbacks so is could not be sold as a resident.  A new well and new driveway will be required.  Supervisors Wicker/Unterberger made a motion to issue the certificate of compliance.  Motion carried. 
 
Austin Gutwasser wants to put a shed on his property.  Because he has 10 acres, he will not need a variance but it will be checked into to see if he is within shoreland requirements and will need to approach the county first.
 
Larry Sheetz asked if he could split his 16.7 acres to sell off his ag land.  He also asked what the requirements are for a dog kennel permit.   
 
Clerk Harff read a letter from Jennifer Buckentine, Stearns Co Environmental Services, requesting more information about the Town Hall Plat.  A check for $355.00 will need to be sent to Environmental Services before getting the 911 address.  Supervisor Unterberger felt everything was given to Heidi, so he will contact the county concerning this.

Permits were presented.  Supervisors Unterberger/Froehling made a motion to accept the permits.
 
Supervisors Unterberger/Wicker made a motion to adjourn the Planning & Zoning meeting.  Motion carried.
